I'm working as a structural engineer, helping to design and manufacture rocket parts and mountings. The team recently launched Orion at the Mojave Desert, California.
This was a personal project aimed at exploring the creative side of HTML and JavaScript using the Canvas API.
The sketches include: using basic canvas transformations and trigonometry concepts to sketch random arcs, animating agents that move around the canvas, and lines that are drawn based on their proximity, generating random simplex noise, and a GUI (Graphical User Interface) to control parameters in real time.
I created a glitchy bubble animation, experimenting with different shading nodes, textures and keyframes.
Under the name, 'Rikachio', I made personal illustrations, depicting a stylized perspective of existing characters from Studio Ghibli animations to video games such as Valorant.
I love seeing how different art styles and colour palettes can be used to convey a variation of atmospheres and messages.
